Organized by leaders in the wind energy industry, this event benefited all wind professionals. Whether you are an established industry veteran or a newcomer to this exciting and explosive industry, WINDPOWER 2007 had much to offer including 3 days of conference sessions, an interactive tradeshow of wind energy products and services, and numerous networking opportunities. This year, the conference focused on what actions are required to make wind energy a significant part of the U.S. electricity portfolio. The education program addressed how to achieve this goal by identifying major issues and challenges, and discussing solutions for the advancement of the wind energy industry.

Green Travel Participants: AWEA and Community Energy Inc. thank the 480 attendees who participated in our green travel program this year. AWEA purchased, on your behalf, 1,164,500 kilowatt-hours of California wind renewable energy credits for the green travel program which equals 1,289,102 lbs of CO2 offset, equivalent to planting 526 acres of trees or removing 108 cars from the roads.
