Please note that if you wish to pay by check you cannot register using the online method.

Pre-Registration Deadline
The last day to pre-register at the "Early Bird" rate is October 18, 2006. The final pre-registration deadline is November 1, 2006. All other registrations will be processed on-site.

Payment of Registration Fees
All presenters and participants must register for the Annual Scientific Meeting. Registrations cannot be processed without a payment. All payments must be made in US currency. Make checks payable to The Gerontological Society of America. You may also charge your registration fee to your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express by using the appropriate section of the registration form or by registering online. 

Registration Confirmation
Your registration will be confirmed by e-mail. Please notify GSA's Meetings Department at (202) 842-1275 if you do not receive your registration confirmation within four weeks of the date submitted or if you have other questions about your registration.

Your badge, pre-registration receipt, program, program abstracts, and registration packet may be picked up at a GSA registration booth.


Cancellation Policy

  • The meeting registration fee will be non-refundable in the event of cancellation of the meeting due to circumstances beyond the control of The Gerontological Society of America.
  • To cancel a meeting registration, written requests must be sent to the GSA Meetings Department by email at meetings@geron.org or by fax at (202) 842-1150. Refunds will be issued in accordance to the schedule listed below.
  • Payments for continuing education credits, optional event tickets, and pre-conference workshops are non-refundable.
  • No refunds will be granted after November 1, 2006. No exceptions will be made.
  • Cancellations will be refunded no sooner than six weeks following the Annual Scientific Meeting.

October 19 - November 1, 2006 Meeting Registration fee refund less $35 processing fee
After November 1, 2006 No refunds will be issued

To register on-site, visit one of GSA's registration booths during open hours.

One-Day Registration
At the Registration Desk, there will be a one-day registration fee for Society members of $125, a one-day non-member registration of $150, a one-day student registration of $45, and a retired senior (65 and older - non-member and nonprofessional) registration of $30. There is no advance registration for these categories.


Optional Events and Pre-Conference Workshops 
Advance registration for the pre-conference workshops and optional events is recommended, as on-site registration will be on a space-available basis. All payments for events and workshops are nonrefundable.

Registrants are to go directly to the assigned room where names will be checked agianst a list. Meeting room assignments will be confirmed via e-mail in November and can be found, along with additional information regarding opptional events or pre-conference workshops, in the Program Schedule and at www.agingconference.com.

 

Copies of the Program Schedule and Program Abstracts  - sorry, no longer available before the meeting.

The Annual Scientific Meeting Program Schedule and the Annual Scientific Meeting Program Abstracts are published separately.

The Program Schedule will include the full schedule of events and presentations, the titles of presentations, and the names and affiliations of presenters. GSA members and non-members attending the Annual Scientific Meeting may pick up their program schedules at registration. The Program Schedule will also be made available online.

Abstracts will be published under the title Program Abstracts, which will include all abstracts accepted for the meeting, along with the names and affiliations of presenters. Program abstracts will be distributed to all Annual Scientific Meeting participants at the meeting site. Program Abstracts will also be available online.
