As a Connected Site, along with ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership, you will coordinate a Global Summit on Social Responsibility. By providing a facility in your geographical region, you will help association industry stakeholders to participate in person in the Global Summit, allowing them to engage in the conversation and the resulting action plans. Your location can be organized to serve a specific framework or a cross-section of association stakeholders that might include:
- Members of ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership
- Members of your own association
- Members of any association
- Industry partners and consultants
- Students, prospective members, and corporate executives who are represented by you or another association.
Each connected Site can participate in activities that will inform, strengthen, and move forward the Global Summit process. The ideas, input, and suggest follow-up actions by participants at Connected Sites will be communicated via the internet and voice connections to the Washington DC site and other Connected Sites worldwide. Our goal is for participants at Connected Sites to integrate as fully as possible with the Global Summit Host Site in Washington DC, either in real time or with a time delay (depending on time zone). Connected sites will be provided with complete details on how to host a site, a facilitator workbook and handouts.
Participation Options for Connected Sites:
Three-Day, Face-to-Face Participation
These sites meet and participate simultaneously with the Host Site in Washington DC. They receive and provide input to attendees in DC.
One-Day, Face-to-Face Participation
This option accommodates site that might not have a sufficient number of attendees able to commit to participating for three full days. For this options, participants engage for the first day simultaneously with the Host Site in Washington DC, but then do not reconvene as a group until the time for selecting action steps and joining action teams on the afternoon of Day Three. Individuals who want to continue participating on-line on Day Two and the morning of Day Three can do so from their own business or home computers.
Face-to-Face Meeting, not Simultaneous with the Global Summit
This option accommodates sites where time zone differences prevent participation simultaneously with the Host Site in Washington DC. The Connected Site will access posted content form the Washington Site, use the Appreciative Inquiry Summit methodology with local attendees, and have the opportunity to provide feedback and input to the simultaneous Connected Sites.
Meeting Face-to-Face but not Connected to the Global Summit
This option accommodates sites that due to technological or time zone requirements, are not able to connect via technology to the other Connected Sites. Participants can meet and have a conversation guided by the facilitator workbook and e-mail a set of feedback forms to be processed at the Host Site in Washington DC.
