Center for Jewish History

Center for Jewish History Lillian Goldman Main Reading Room and Center Genealogy Institute
Open on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday until 8:00 p.m. (Reading Room normally closes at 5:00 p.m.;
Genealogy Institute normally closes at 5:30 p.m.).

County Clerk's Office, State Supreme Court, New York County, Division of Old Records

Open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday until 5:00 p.m. (normally closes at 3:00 p.m.) and on Wednesday until 7:30 p.m.

National Archives and Records Administration, Northeast Region

Open on Monday and Wednesday until 8:00 p.m. It is also open every Tuesday until 8:00 p.m. The staff will retrieve paper naturalization records during evening hours for conference attendees on all three days.

New York City Department of Records and Information Services, Municipal Archives

Open on Wednesday until 7:30 p.m.

New York Genealogical & Biographical Society Library

Open on Monday, 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A maximum of twenty people can be accommodated. Pre-registration is required. There is no fee. To pre-register, e-mail Lauren Maehrlein at lmaehrlein@nygbs.org prior to conference week. If there are no pre-registrations, the library will not be open.

New York Public Library, Humanities and Social Sciences Library, Irma and Paul Milstein Division of U.S. History, Local History and Genealogy

A computer lab will provide instruction in the use of the division's electronic resources. Ruth Carr, Division Chief, will review the databases, after which participants will use the databases and receive individual guidance from Ms. Carr.

The lab will be held on Wednesday, 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m., and repeated that day at 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. in the classrooms in South Court. Each session can accommodate 25 people.

         Pre-registration is required. Pre-register at the Repository Fair on Sunday,   
         August 13th, 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
