Exhibit at the 2008 National Genealogical Society Conference in the States and Family History Fair!
The National Genealogical Society, together with the Missouri State Genealogical Association, the Mid-Continent Public Library, the Northland Genealogical Society, APG Heartland Chaper, and the Johnson County, Kansas, Genealogical Society is pleased to extend this invitation to interested societies, organizations and businesses to secure space in the exhibit hall at the 2008 NGS Conference in the States and Family History Fair, 14-17 May 2008.
Conference Facilities
The 2008 NGS Conference and Family History Fair will be held at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center Hotel. Exhibits will be in Exhibit Hall A. Once again this year space is limited, so we encourage you to reserve your space as soon as possible.
Please read the Official Exhibitor Regulations in full with regard to exhibiting in Kansas City. NGS has employed George Fern Company as the decorating company for this conference. Please see the George Fern Exhibitor Kit for further information at: http://www.georgefern.com/service_kits/ngs08.asp
Exhibiting Costs
The cost for a 10x10 booth is $260. We have special booths available for societies only in Society Row at the left hand side of the exhibit hall (as you enter through the main doors). These booths are 8x10 in size and are available to societies at a cost of $175. These booths are indicated at the very bottom of the exhibit floor plan and are laid out along the windows on that side of the exhibit hall.
Please note, regular 10x10 booths 327, 325, 321, 319, 315, 313, 309, 307, 227, 225, 221, 219, 215, 213, 209, and 207 do have a pillar either to the left or right of the booth (about a foot and a half of pillar would cover the booth). This pillar is marked on the floor plan as a black box. These booths would not be suitable as double booths, but should still work well as single booths. Space is limited, so please register early to secure the booth space you would like.
Societies are limited to just one booth purchase in society row. If you are a society and you wish to purchase more than one booth in society row, please contact Jeanne Lund at Lund@ngsgenealogy if you have any questions. Societies may also purchase a 10x10 booth elsewhere in the hall at a cost of $200 per booth (there is no limit to the amount of booths that can be purchased for 10x10 booths).
For booth numbers 526, 522, 520, 516, 514, 510, 508, 504, there is an option for you to purchase additional space adjoining your booth in the areas marked with a cross next to the booth. This space constitutes about half a booth space. Therefore if you would like a larger booth than 10x10 we can sell you this adjoining space. Please contact Jeanne Lund at Lund@ngsgenealogy.org regarding this.
All booth costs for both 10x10 and 8x10 booths cover the booth for the entire conference (Wednesday through Saturday), one 8 foot long skirted table (2 feet wide, 30" tall), 2 chairs, ID sign, and a wastebasket.
Each exhibiting company also gets one complimentary conference registration. Please indicate who should receive this for your company when making your initial booth reservation in the appropriate field (you will be prompted to do this during the booth registration process). All booth staff should be registered after you have made your initial registration by 16 April 2008. All exhibitors receiving the complimentary conference registration (one per exhibiting company) will receive the conference syllabus on CD. However, if a printed syllabus is required, you may purchase one for $10. Regular booth staff will not receive a conference syllabus.
Additional charges other than the NGS booth costs that you may have to consider are electricity, internet, and telephone connections, if you require these for your booth. Internet, telephone ,and electrical services are available to order through the George Fern Company. Currently these charges are as follows:
