Call for Cocktails: Mixology Competition

All companies registered to participate in the Exhibit Hall or as a Lower Level or Traditional Hospitality Suite holder are eligible to enter the new Mixology Competition, sponsored by The Tasting Panel Magazine. Enter your original cocktail recipes for a blind judging by some of the top mixologists in the business. Bring your own mixologist to the Convention or use one of our staff mixologists to create your cocktail. Winners will be recognized at the Taste of the Industry* where the media and attendees will be provided with the opportunity to rank the top three winners.
*Entrants must be registered to participate in the Taste of the Industry.
Serving as Executive Director of the competition is Tony Abou-Ganim, The Modern Mixologist. Tony is the author of the upcoming book "The Modern Mixologist: Contemporary Classic Cocktails." Additionally, Tony won the 2007 Iron Chef America competition with Mario Batali, "Battle Mango" and released his first DVD "Modern Mixology: Making Great Cocktails at Home." Most notably, Tony has been featured demonstrating the art of cocktail preparation on the Fine Living Network program "Raising the Bar: America's Best Bar Chefs." As the National Ambassador to the U.S. Bartenders Guild and Associate Member of the Museum of the American Cocktail, Tony continues to educate about the history and lore of cocktails as well as lead the bar industry into continually improving the art of the cocktail.
